We have been so busy that it has
been
almost a year since being able to properly update this website with the latest
information etc! But here it is, with some updates and
changes made primarily to the home and services pages. Most
notably is the addition of flash films (the new showreel, example
corporate and example wedding) which we will be refining as time
permits. We have in fact purchased a commercial icence to use
the JW Media Player 4.0, so that we can use it whenever or whereever we
like.

We are pleased to release our new
showreel (also located on the main home page in Quicktime movie form). It includes footage shot over the last
year or so, set to a wonderful piece of music entitled 'The Greatest
Challenge' by British
composer Daryl Griffith. The actual showreel DVD is in 5.1
surround and sounds incredible. Like all music used by Parkes
Productions we clear it legally through MCPS.

We have had the pleasure of
filming a
music video for London band MellowSun, lead by brothers Joe and Phil
Gooch. Filmed entirely in Brighton it was shot at mostly 60fps to allow
for slow motion filming -but also meaning the singing had to be at 240%
speed.
It was also an opportunity to try out a new piece of
equipment -dolly and track, which we found most useful.

December 30, 2007
